Creating a Diverse Workforce

We are excited to present our season finale, featuring 3 separate guest speakers, each sharing their work to create a more diverse OT workforce. Arameh Anvarizadeh discusses the work being done by the Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity; Jonette Ishmael shares her experience implementing an outreach and mentorship program within her OT program; and Arielle Villanueva shares her experience supporting international students in an OT program.

The Role of OT in Maternal Health

We discuss some of the common mental health challenges faced by new mothers, and how to ask about and assess these challenges. We also discuss intervention approaches and coping strategies to help mothers through this major change in occupational balance.
