Jess and Natalie explore behavior management strategies for patients with traumatic brain injury. We talk about some common causes of agitated behavior, how to assess triggers, and how to quantify behavior changes. Additionally, we talk about navigating documentation challenges related to behavior management. We talk about creating a structured plan, strategies to optimize patient participation, and encouraging family/staff follow through. Helpful resources for therapists who work with patients with TBI that can guide practice and enhance patient/family education are discussed.
