Inside the Episode
Natalie and Jess talk with Juleen Rodakowski, faculty researcher at the University of Pittsburgh. We discuss simple and efficient ways to find, read, and interpret articles to promote evidence-based practice. Staying current on research is the best way to ensure we are delivering evidence-based practice, but clinicians face many challenges when it comes to finding and reading relevant articles. We review the types of articles that will help clinicians identify and understand new intervention approaches, as well as the patient populations the intervention targets. We also review available resources for finding open access articles for therapists with limited access to medical journals. The focus of this episode is on helping busy clinicians maximize their time spent researching new treatment ideas.
