In this episode, Natalie and Jess talk with Occupational Therapist Brittany Connors about community re-entry and her role in facilitating reintegration for women in the department of corrections. Brittany runs a program for women that teaches life skills, coping skills, and emotional regulation in order to prepare them for discharge from the department of corrections. She explains the complex needs faced by this population, and ways that occupational therapists can intervene to better facilitate a successful transition.
