Inside the Episode

Jess and Natalie talk with Certified Lymphedema Specialist Kaye Rubio about strategies for daily management of chronic lymphedema following breast cancer treatment. We review the structures and functions of the lymphatic system, and explore the anatomical changes that contribute to lymphedema. We talk about common treatment approaches frequently used by occupational therapists. Kaye helps us to also examine the complex psychosocial factors that contribute to compliance with home programs for this population.
